SWANS ANNOUNCE NEW LIVE ALBUM LIVE ROPE PREORDER
Hello there friends and supporters. The SWANS live album Live Rope is now available at younggodrecords.com. Funds generated from the sale of this album go toward the recording of the new SWANS studio album, in progress. Live Rope is quite a beast. It is available as a 2XDeluxe CD, a 4XLP Box Set, and also as a USB Credit Card. After listening through it multiple times while working on the mixing and mastering, I was increasingly dumbfounded and astonished that we managed to pull these sounds out of our collective bodies and psyches night after night, especially considering the duration of some of the pieces (and the ever-expanding set length). I'm somewhat biased, I admit, but I think it makes for a rewarding, if challenging listening experience. In my view, amidst all of our myriad live albums, it's right there at the top, along with perhaps Swans Are Dead (from '97)... Most of the album is comprised of the entire set from our final performance of a year-long tour, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2024.
